Moore, Christopher

Christopher S. Moore is currently a graduate student in the Ph.D. astrophysics program at the University of Colorado, Boulder that helped design, develop and teach the two day ‘Shining Light on the Sun’ PDP inquiry activity for the LASP summer REU in 2012. Chris is in the Ultraviolet Instrumentation Rocket Group at the Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy in Boulder, Colorado. Chris is currently working on design and development of his Ph.D. dissertation rocket called the COLorado Widefield Hyperspectral Imaging Payload (COoL-WHIP) which will take narrow band UV images of hot shocked plasma in supernovae. Chris is also working on new Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) coatings to enhance UV reflectivites of optical components.
